Been painting 7×5′s recently, all on ebay now. Below is some of them. Doesn’t seem to be a theme to them, just had this urge to get back in to painitng after a time doing postcard drawings and block prints.

North London art events inspiring

It’s been good getting out the house and seeing some more of the local artists in North London, bumping into the artist that paints the chewing gum on Muswell Hill Broadway, visiting one of the other local expressionist painters at the Crouch End Open studios, and planning with Emma Pugmire our application for Islington Rowan Arts. It’s put some enthusiasm to getting more done, back to painting mainly, as been doing mostly drawing and block prints the last couple of months. Being ill, was drawing mainly because painting seemed too much, getting out all the equipment out. Could just about handle taking the lid off a pen. Both Shelley and I feel better now, I ‘ve been painting carnival, circus looking paintings for some reason, maybe all these local art festivals going on.
Now we have the online shop not been keeping things up to date, losing track of work and photos a while ago, but especially recently will illness and lots of small fast ones. A lot of it inspired by the sketches in the Bern and Christies auction catalogues. Also from Gerard Garouste book from the same shop. Below is two new acrylic paintings, mountain reader and shoulder puppets.

Made some sets of block prints, 6 per set. Two different typres, Faces and Birds. Pictures of each are below, split them between ebay and other online art gallery store. £30 per set, uk post free, international £6-£10. Will do some more with the O-A-A-O.com logo, for the Original Affordable Art Online shop selling our art. Three artists on it so far, all from North London. Shelley and me from Muswell Hill, and Emma Pugmire, a painter from Crouch End also in North London. We had the theory online art galleries are like restaurants, and we should all be in the same place.

Drawings on Postcards

Been drawing on postcards, mainly as we’re in bed with a bad cough/headache. Also the art shop was clearing out sets of good pens and blank postcards. Some of them sketches from auction catalougues from either Christies of Galerie Kornfeld in Bern, the book shop near Tate sold for £1-£4 each. Interesting to read the bidders notes in the catalogues.

Monto Water Rats gig

Played last night at Monto Water Rats, Kings Cross. A half-hour set, was good to do some loud songs with distortion pedal like at home. Shelly screamed the place down on some, it must count as Elbow Sisters first gig, the others were either open mic, or just one song performance. Below is a photo, been doing music solid last couple of days, will be good to get some drawing and painting done.
